THE VICTORY PATIENT GUIDE
Planning a trip?
Plan for your medicines, too.
Add a pharmacy conversation to your travel preparations. Use this guide to organize your questions before you leave Burbank.
For international travel, check medicine rules for your destination and any layover countries. A medicine allowed in the United States may be restricted elsewhere.
Have the timing conversation early.
Discuss your itinerary with your prescribing clinician. Ask about time-zone changes, storage and any refrigeration needs. Plan your supply for the trip and possible delays within applicable rules.
Keep medicines and documents together.
CDC recommends carry-on luggage and original, labeled containers. Bring prescription copies with generic names. Ask your prescriber whether a letter is needed for controlled or injectable medicines.
Questions for your pharmacy call.
Have your medicine names and travel dates ready when you call Victory. Ask about your prescription’s current status and the arrangements that need to be resolved.
- Is my prescription eligible to be filled before departure?
- Is a prescriber or health-plan follow-up needed?
- When should I check back about pickup?
